Unleashing a Momster-book about Eden Wood

I don't know if any of you have read Unleashing a Momster, but for those of you who haven't heard of it, it was recently published by Eden Wood's former talent agent Heather Ryan. I am currently about halfway through and I'm finding it quite entertaining!

In case you didn't know this already-Mickie (Eden's mom) is a nut. She has literally spent over $100,000 on pageants, and barely made any money from Eden's wins or features on Toddlers & Tiaras. The one thing that shocked me the most though was that Eden Wood actually isn't that good. We've all believed Eden to be the star of child beauty pageants, but it turns out she's only perceived that way due to good advertising on Heather's part, and because the producers of Toddlers & Tiaras like to edit the show in ways to make it seem like she won when she didn't.

Also, you may or may not have read one of my past articles about my experience at a live beauty pageant, but I visited the Universal Royalty Beauty Pageant (often featured on T&T) and predicted that the pageant is rigged and Annette Hill picks the winner well before the pageant has begun. Turns out there is some truth to all of that according to Heather Ryan, as she states that Eden's mom is good friends with Annette, and even when Eden performs poorly she always somehow manages to pull off one of the highest titles. On top of all this, Eden is allowed a large discount on the entry fee, simply because of Annette and Mickie's friendship.

In other words, don't enter your child in the Universal Royalty Beauty Pageant. Or preferably, don't enter your child in any pageants at all.

Anyway, I recommend this book to anyone who is familiar with Eden Wood and who is an avid watcher of Toddlers & Tiaras. It is funny and entertaining, yet shocking as to what extent pageant moms will go to make their child famous.

Remember Meaghan Jones?

Do any of you remember Meaghan Jones who was on one of the first ever toddlers & tiaras episodes? I mainly remember her from watching the Tyra Show and she had said she'd rather be pretty than smart. Anyway, I found this interesting interview with her that was just posted a few days ago: Just thought I'd share it :)

Photo Contest

I know I posted a long time ago about pageant moms who love to enter their daughters in photo contests. Well I can promise that's true because Taralyn (remember her?) as well as several other girls on T&T have entered my photo contest "Child Beauty Queenz." I actually created it as an experiment at first to see what kind of people enter but it got very successful so I just created another one called "Golden Faces" at where you have to pay $5 but you get a trophy with your name on it if you win. I'm curious to see if pageant moms also enter paying contests or if  they can't afford it after spending so much money on pageants. Anyway it's open to anyone ages 0-16 if you would like to enter it would be very appreciated :)) and I just caught up on Toddlers & Tiaras (sorry I was rather busy watching Dance Moms and Honey Boo Boo) and I watched the Beautiful Me 50's Pageant. You know, the one with the kid smoking a cigarrette? Honestly at this point I think we've seen it all; 4 year olds dressed as prostitutes, fake boobs & butts, bleaching teeth, 5 year olds getting their eyebrows waxed, Go-Go juice, moms who favor one kid over the other, etc. I don't really get surprised by anything anymore. And to think we used to be shocked by showgirl outfits....we've come a long way.

Poor Pets...:(

I have to say, I've seen some crazy episodes but this episode kind of just blew me away. The highlight of this pageant is the part where the contestants do a routine with their pet. First we meet 6 year old Karley who has a pet snake. I've heard of people having pet snakes before, but this was just insane. Karley's snake didn't even have a cage and just slithered around the house like it's no big deal. NOT OKAY! Anyway, Karley and her mom are pretty sweet and somewhat normal, despite the pet snake.

Next up is mom Kelly with her twin daughters Giavanna and Alycesaundra. No I am not making up that spelling. Kelly obviously favors Alycesaundra because she is her "great" daughter where as Giavanna is a "brat". Well after watching the whole episode, I would agree both daughters are brats yet I felt a little sorry for Giavanna (tell you later). For the pet routine they are using a sheep and a turkey. Trust me I don't know how they were expecting to use a turkey in a pageant, but of course Giavanna was stuck with it. Both girls are 4 years old and look alike, but as Kelly says "I'm a realist," I can tell you Giavanna is cuter.

Last is Kali pronounced Kaley, and she is 5 years old. She has a pet shih tzu that is about as old and grumpy as a dog can get. Nothing interesting happens, so let's move on.

The girls get ready for beauty, and we see a girl named Addison whose beauty dress is still the cupcake style but goes down to her toes. I think we know who's gonna lose this age group. Alycesaundra is next (you know she has 12 letters in her name?!) and they call her Alycesaundia, which pisses Kelly off. Her dress is pretty but she stumbles and doesn't smile. She wasn't feeling well this morning so taking that in account I guess she did fairly well, but def. not good enough to get a supreme. But then again most of these kids suck so she might get one anyway.

Next in beauty is Giavanna, and she bombs it big time. She gets on stage and looks like she's going to cry, she doesn't smile, wave, or do anything besides look down with a sad face. Can't Kelly tell she hates pageants? Giavanna isn't being a brat right now, she's being forced on stage after hours of makeup by a mom who likes her other daughter better.

Then we have Kali, who does a great job. I honestly don't have much to say about her, there's just nothing interesting going on when she's on camera. And last we have Karley who also does a good job even though her hair is shorter than average for glitz pageants.

Then comes the interesting part with the pets. Giavanna has a melt down backstage because she doesn't want to go on with the turkey (I don't blame her) but ends up doing it anyway. She basically spends her time on stage pulling the turkey's leash so he doesn't run off. I guess the turkey doesn't like being on stage either. Then goes Alycesaundra, who has an actual choreographed routine with her sheep, but dad screws something up and she almost trips over the sheep's leash. Then we have Kali with her angry dog. I honestly can't really remember what happened. And then we have Karley with her snake, and her routine was actually pretty good.

Finally we have crowning! Giavanna gets queen and Alycesaundra throws a fit on stage because she didn't get a crown (which we all know she'll get later). Kelly tries to comfort her and then she falls asleep. Aly (let's just call her that from now on) gets her name called for Overall My Pet & Me wear (ok I might have just made that up but it was something along those lines) and doesn't look excited. It's Giavanna's turn to throw a fit, but of course mom pays no attention to her. Kali wins beauty supreme, and Mini Supreme goes to Karley.

Also, I forgot to mention that the twins have a dress that costs $8000. How stupid. Even worst, neither of them wears the dress for beauty, Aly only wears it for crowning where it doesn't matter what you wear!!! She could've worn workout clothes and sneakers and have won the entire pageant, because in crowning they don't judge your outfit! Grow a brain, dumb moms!!!

I'M BACK!!!!

SO sorry to not have posted for several months now. Actually over half a year. I have been so busy with my life and watching Dance Moms, my favorite show since Toddlers & Tiaras. This past T&T season has been pretty crazy but for those of you who don't already know, our star Eden Wood has her own reality show called Eden's World!!! It's actually really boring. She doesn't compete in pageants anymore, she just goes around auditioning for stuff she can't get because we all know she can't sing, act or dance, she can only walk on stage and smile. There's a little drama, but compared to Dance Moms it's nothing.

Anyway, the biggest thing on my mind right now is Alaska. Don't we all remember poor, sweet, beautiful Alaska who cried of joy when she won mini supreme? Well since she won that title she's been winning more, meaning that her mom Lori forgot about her "little charmer" Braxton, and moved on to Alaska. This blew up Alaska's ego WAY too big. Alaska did well and won the pageant, but personally I am really disappointed to see her with that  attitude. Alaska was always one of my faves, but with that ego I'm not sure I can really say that anymore :( Either way her mom's a wicked witch and I still love Alaska, just a little less than before.

In the Beautiful Me Disco Pageant, we see SamiJo again and her psycho mom who thinks she's so hot (which she really isn't). SamiJo is adorable though, but she goes on stage and does nothing. Then there's this other psycho mom who hates Tricia (SamiJo's mom) and I wouldn't blame her if she wasn't such a b*tch herself. She named her daughter "Camarie" because she was addicted to Calamari. That is the saddest thing I've ever heard.

Other interesting we do see Paisley again whom I love to watch because she is SO adorable (NOT so I can see the stripper/prostitute costumes her mom puts her in). They do this new thing where they put all the moms together and interview them which I love because you watch them argue.

Anyway, I will be writing after each episode, promise!
